ECCA is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst / Migration Specialist I to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring a smooth and accurate transition for new clients by converting and migrating payroll and HR data into ECCA Payroll+ and HRIS systems.
Position Summary
The Data Analyst / Migration Specialist I is primarily responsible for obtaining, reviewing, converting, and loading new client information into ECCA's payroll software using a variety of data migration tools and processes. This position works closely with internal teams and clients to ensure data accuracy and deliver a professional, seamless implementation experience.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Client Services team to understand the scope, objectives, and requirements of each client data migration.
- Develop a thorough understanding of data requirements to ensure a smooth and accurate client transition.
- Work directly with new clients to obtain payroll and HR data in approved formats.
- Analyze client data for accuracy, completeness, and integrity prior to conversion.
- Transform, clean, and modify data using automation tools and scripting languages, including SQL, VBScript, and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), as needed.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies by communicating directly with clients.
- Provide exceptional customer service through welcome calls, implementation calls, and email correspondence.
- Import client data into ECCA's proprietary payroll and HRIS systems.
- Validate imported data to ensure accuracy and completeness following migration.
- Meet implementation deadlines while ensuring clients' initial payrolls are processed accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain accurate documentation of migration activities and follow established procedures.
- Perform additional administrative, clerical, and project-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately analyze and interpret numerical and financial data.
- Customer-focused with professional telephone etiquette and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work under tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities while ensuring client payroll timelines are met.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while interacting effectively with clients, Payroll Specialists, and other internal team members.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with data analysis, data conversion, SQL, or payroll and HRIS systems is preferred.
Education/Experience:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field required.
- Previous experience in the payroll industry is preferred, including a working knowledge of payroll processing, wage and hour regulations, and applicable federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Prior experience in customer service, a call center, help desk, or a client support environment is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access, as well as experience with SQL Server or other relational database management systems.
- Working knowledge of SQL and/or scripting languages used to automate data-related tasks, such as Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), VBScript, or JavaScript.
- An equivalent combination of education, technical training, and relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirements.
