Laboratory Technician II

Our client, Hero BX, currently has a need for a mid-level Laboratory Technician to assist in the production of biodiesel by performing both wet and analytical chemistry techniques for a variety of analytical purposes as well as to maintain BQ-9000 status. Responsibilities:
  • Monitor product quality to ensure compliance to standards and specifications.
  • Compile and interpret results of tests and analyses.
  • Prepare chemical solutions for products and processes following standardized formulas or create experimental formulas.
  • Maintain, clean, and sterilize laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Write technical reports or prepare graphs and charts to document experimental results.
  • Conduct programs of sampling and analysis to maintain quality standards of raw material, chemical intermediates, and products.
  • Train personnel on laboratory procedures.
  • Perform applied chemistry research to develop new or improved methods, techniques, and procedures for laboratory analysis.
Education & Experience Requirements: 
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related filed, or experience equivalent of 2-5 years working in a laboratory setting.
