Architectural Designer/Project Architect

We have been engaged by an established architectural firm in Erie PA to recruit an experienced designer/architect with a focus on commercial, multi-family housing, high-end residential, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation projects. The ideal candidate will be part of a close-knit small design team working on regional commercial, residential, and historic buildings. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter with an entrepreneurial focus and desire to grow with the business.

Responsibilities include:

• One-on-one coordination with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Overseeing projects through all architectural phases including existing condition documentation and assessment, schematic design, design development, construction documents (drawings and specifications), bidding, permitting and construction administration.
• Developing comprehensive and detailed existing condition, design, and construction drawings, including computer renderings and 3D models.
• Various administrative related tasks.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree is required.
• Precision and attention to detail is a must.
• 5+ years’ experience in historic preservation is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Sketchup required.
• Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and computer skills.
• An enthusiastic attitude with an ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
